Fong`s Kitchen in Waukegan

The decor and furniture is old and in dire need of replacement. Was seated quickly, order taken shortly after and then left to sit for 40 minutes with nothing but a glass of water. By the way, we ordered from the "show menu" for quicker service before attending the nights headline act at a local theater even though we sat down 90 minutes before showtime. We had to let them know we were leaving without eating because of the long wait. They were not very busy the entire time. Another couple was leaving at the same time for the same reason. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Fong's is no more. It closed in December 2017. I use to love their Kong Pao Tofu.

Went with some friends for the Dokken show recently and enjoyed the fantastic food! Ordered off the show menu and got fast service. Highly recommend

The atmosphere at this restaurant is cool and very friendly. Food is professionally prepared.

Great Chinese food in a nice setting. Great for dining in and takeout is also available. We had the dinner for three which included sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian Beef, Happy Family Combination, vegetable fried rice and egg rolls. Excellent food and friendly, efficient service. I will definitely go here whenever I am in the area.

Great Chinese food at very afford price. I have eaten at Fong's for 10 years. Food is always fresh. Courteous and prompt service.

Food came fast, nice decor. Entrees are $9 and up but they have a lunch special till 3. The sweet and sour that came with my Crab Rangoons was made from scratch, y'all. They not playing out here!Edit: the beef in my Black Pepper Beef was super over cooked. The flavor​ was real nice. Maybe I'll order vegetarian next time?

not a great taste as other reviews suggest. No salt and not hot. Simply any other Chinese nothing special. I know Chinese food can taste much better then this.So i don't suggest this. I drove long distance to taste this and i am disappointed. Please min it.

They are great all the way around. Ordered the shrimp and lobster rice. Excellent and I actually got full and stayed that way for a while. The price was great. The employees was friendly. When I came in to pick my order up ( they deliver as well ) they were waving and smiling as soon as I hit the door. This week I am dining in here. They have such a beautiful and peaceful restaurant. It didn't look like much from the outside but I was happy with what I saw once I went in!!! Thank you and see you soon, Fong's Kitchen.

This is not imitation Chinese like a lot of restaurants offer. Great service, nice selection. Very affordable.

I enjoyed shrimp & vegetables from the lunch menu, very good & a generous portion of shrimp. The egg drop soup was very tasty and the crab Rangoon was so fresh & tasty. Service is great too.

For what you pay, you get a really great sum of food! Everything on the menu is fresh and the taste is amazing. The ambiance is great as well, very cozy! You can't go wrong dining in and they deliver as well! Highly recommend this friendly, delicious heaven of a restaurant.

This is no longer Fongs kitchen. I went last week specifically to have their eggrolls and crab ragoon. It is my favorite. It is now a place called luckys food. The food was good and hot. The eggrolls were pretty good. Overall a pleasant experience but it is no Fongs

No matter what it is they accommodate you and make sure u walk out happy. Please try the shrimp and lobster with rice. O.M.G I'M SO. STUCK I'M SCARED TO TRY ANYTHING ELSE! 💋💋💋

Extremely American Chinese food. Not a criticism, just an observation. If you love traditional Americanized Chinese food, this is for you. Extremely clean, nice staff, great prices.50's-era American Chinese isn't for me, but it's a solid option.

I've been eating here since I was in high school...20+ plus yrs later still my favorite place for Chinese food.

Best crab rangoon I've ever tasted. The cuisine is all Chinese-American. It is fresh and well made. I always drink a pot of tea while lunching there. It's a great place for a business lunch.
